When this happens model can be cheated out of a lot of money. To overcome this problem you should consult with experienced models and photographers whom you know and are quite experienced. Try to learn the system better before you go in for a photo shoot. Photographer may refer to himself as a professional model photographer and stock agency but he may just be a photo studio owner and no more.

Modeling Agency: A modeling agency is a company that represents fashion models, to provide them modeling assignments. In some cases couple, a group, individual, or company call themselves a modeling agency, when they are just fake. Be aware of such fraudulent people or companies. Models should find out all about the model agency before they approach them for assignments. They should know what kind of work they provide. How much they pay and their status in the Industry
